proof its not a spin off of the Buzzard since they werent allowed to make it anymore.. (i wonder why they doesnt use the pics now? it probaly would get other people to play it too..)

that is a sharp bass!

My favorite tones of his are still the Alembic through Sunns (I'm listening to "Too Late The Hero" right now.

I did listen to the Albert Hall discs on my MP3 player while doing yard work last night... I HATE the 5:15 solo, but he sounds great mixed with the band!

Does anyone else have the newish Glenn Tipton (Judas Priest) solo disc with John & Cozy Powell? I think I'll listen to that again next :bassist:

Alembic and Sunn is a very good combo, and so is John plus Alembic and Sunn. Too Late The Hero was the first of Johns solo pieces i ever heard.
what is that disc called with Cozy Powell and Glenn Tipton?

My "Cheapo" (hey, it costed me less than half of what the cheapest Exploiter/Spyder would have judged by Alembics retail price :p if you dont count Ebay that is...)

Anyoing as it was, RIGHT after i had ordered this one, Ebay was almost swimming in Exploiters.. though the birdseye maple one was a bit ugly.

And they dont have roman number inlays :p

To bad its insanely expensive :(

If i hadnt bought the explorer i would probaly had one now though.
But now i have a explorer style bass and a Fender from the 70's instead, wich is fairly nice IMO.. but a Buzzard 2 gonna be mine sometime! though it will be with all black hardware.

i thought you liked seeing your bass onstage? insane expense is definetly the only place that anyone can mess up at. there are certain people whose instruments always have something good on them, but, the ones that are perfect always are expensive.

Oh, but i forgot to add, mine will be royal blue body :p

though insanely expensive, its still gonna be cheaper than a Alembic :p

Just look at my profile :p

Its a Listerud Custom bass, norwgian luthier, and i guess its my "custom" since its the first of its kind from him. i paid 17000 nkr, wich is about 2700 dollar(yes, we have insanely expensive stingrays here, they cost the same..) i have had it for about 2 months now.
