It's a matter of easeness and value in case of resale: whenevere it tells Fender on the headstock, chances are there's somebody, anybody, longin' for it-just like a ball, a base, or baseball

My drummer did get us that gig... in fact he got us lots of gigs.... I think you might be on to something there.

Well it would probably be easier to steal my mass-produced fender than my custom-boutique bass
