Jule Amps Monique part 4

The problem may be stopping the team here nabbing all of them :)

The Tardis already has my name on it and another one of the guys has put his current amp up for sale and has his eyes on the rackmount. . .

This will still allow us to demo them in the amp room of course but means we get some first-hand experience in rehearsing / gigging situations :)

Won't be too long now. It is all on the production schedule.

Well, I am having my 1 year anniversary with Monique this week and we are still a very happy couple.:D

In fact, I sold all of my other amps once I found the "sound in my head"... And I had some great amps.... Mesa M9 and D180, GK 1001RBII and MB Fusion 500, Hiwatt DR503 and there might have been an Ampeg in the mix somewhere... SVT2-Pro I think ( might have sold it before Monique, but you get the point).

In any case, I historically swap amps almost monthly and for the first time in years, I have not even looked at another amp in a full year. Pretty amazing for me.

I love Monique so much that I bought a second one (now have a rack and a DC model) and also a 40W Jule Paycheck guitar amp. All 3 are amazing sounding and rock solid.

Well, enough of my brown nosing, but thank you Jule for making such great products, providing such great service and having such an obvious passion for making such great gear.

Thank you very much. I did not know when all this started, that it would be so enjoyable on so many levels. All I really wanted to do was build stuff that could make music - in the right hands.

I am so glad you have your hands on Monique. :) And the Paycheck.

Ah yes. . . passion and OCD are so similar. :hyper:

Unfortunately, September is quite slow, Jule. A few gigs, but not enough. Picks up again in October, though. I picked the wrong end of the business to be in. Should have learned how to be an amp building genius like you. Too bad that one of the requirements is being able to solder ;)

I uploaded a few clips we recorded live and direct via our Midas Pro 2 console. This was recorded last summer at Gracie Mansion in NYC during a heritage festival. We were testing out our new console and were pleasantly surprised by the entertainment we were blessed with. They were a Latin Jazz band. It was the first time I heard Amanda Ruzza on bass. She is a solid player with a solid groove. She also has a CD out now as well.

Because of the low end mushiness I've experienced when demoing tube amps. I love the tight articulate low end that ss amps have.
I'd love to hear what your thoughts on the Monique's low end.

I find Monique sounds kinda like a super articulate Ampeg SVT.

Monique has a tight low end but lots of clarity across the board. Very warm, but also very clear if that makes sense.

I replaced a Mesa M9 with the Monique. The M9 is a beast... It is SS with a tube pre, but a very responsive amp. Great amp (when it worked), but I like the Monique tone better.... and I don't feel like I went from a tight and fast SS amp to a mushy tube amp at all. Been playing Moniques for just over a year and am still a big fanboy.

I would be suprised if you don't love it.:)

P.S., I also play a Fodera (and use a Crest ProLite 2.0) and it seems Berg or Baer cabs are the most popular cabs for Monique/Fodera users on TB. That combo will make you want to avoid mistakes though.... No muddiness to hide behind IME.
