Jule Amps Monique part 4

Lighter is good, although I will probably be purchasing a B1500 anyway. It's a little bit more affordable than the Monique.

But eventually I know I have to have a Monique.

Not yet, but yes, it should sound great. Of course, there are smaller/lighter ways to get a bunch of power behind Monique, but the B1500 would certainly be up to the task.

We recently received a Bamboo Monique and a Dove Cage from Jule. Lovely little gems they are. Instead of running these through our Epifani amps, I'd like to use a separate power amp instead.

I'd appreciate forum members chiming in detailing their favorite rig or what they have knowledge of being a really good match with the Monique.

Its a pretty wide open field. Look for one with an input sensitivity between .775 and 1.4 or so, and you should be good. Ones in the 2+ range will probably be looking for more signal that Monique really wants to give. I use a Peavey IPR, and have been for about a year and a half with no difficulties.

For around $350USD it is really hard to beat the Crest ProLite 2.0 poweramp. It is light, reliable, super simple to use, sounds great and loud as hell. I can't say enough good things about it.....

Works great with my Moniques as well.....

+1 on this! I have the Crest as well and concur. Monique sounds wonderful paired with it. Notes are big, thick, clean, and have lots of body to them, and with a meaty thump to boot!

Does the Crest require a special mono bridge cable to get full power into a single cab? I like my Crown XLS, but just discovered the need for that special +1+2 cable. A minor pain in the neck but certainly a pain in the neck.

Do check to make sure that even if it provides a bridged out, that it takes the same pin out as a standard cable, vs. a different setup.

The bridge out is a standard speakon. Note that you do have to turn both channel volumes up when bridged.

Several power amps have a three way switch for output mode: stereo, parallel, or bridged. Parallel takes one channel input and two channels output allowing for separate level adjustment of each channel.

I'm pretty sure the Crest Pro-Lite have this.
The Pro-Lite 3.0 looks like it has enough power to run individual cabs off each channel and have plenty of volume.

Since we have Crest Pro Lite users here, and the online manual needs Indiana Jones to find, can y'all confirm that it easily takes a single input and splits it into each output? The Crown XLS requires I select a crossover point, or cheat by using a Y cable at the input.

I have a QSC PLX3002, and I've been satisfied with its performance driving PA cabs and bass cabs (though not yet via a Monique ).

Input sensitivity can vary quite a bit by model within the QSC line. For example, here are the listed input sensitivities for 5 different PLX amps, at full rated wattage, from 20HZ to 20kHz, into 8-Ohm and 4-Ohm loads @0.05%THD:

Lol!!! Yes it can. In bridge mode or parallel mode it will take a single input. It only needs two inputs in stereo mode.
