Jule Amps Monique part 5

I am with an IP310. I just cannot find anything else that makes the same noise. I would love to lose the schlep factor of the IP but nothing else for me comes close and I have really tried. I am resigned to the fact that this is it until I can no longer move it easily.
Are you guys running effects pre or post monique? I have to run effects pre noble if I want effects line out and XLR out

Running post would essentially be like using an FX loop. Unless you're running rack gear or getting your dirt sounds from the preamp (and running time based effects) there isn't much point in using an FX loop.
Like you mention, if you want your effects to come out of the DI you'll need to send them into the signal chain. Running post won't do that.

This matches the sweet midrange I had with bergs but adds a wallop of low end (I actually turn the lows down on this a bit) and has a great high end. The Jazz absolutely growls with the sensitivity pulled and at 12 o'clock.
These Barefaced cabs really match well with Mo.
Jule and the Family. No drummer at church tonight so I plugged Mo into th board, the board into the M2500, to two monitors. One was turned around for the audience. My wife and son sang. All my favorite stuff in one place

The pairing of the two, IP & Monique is perfect.
The IP310 sounds great in small settings too.
Live outside and loud it's perfect.
The Monique and IP112 & EX112 is buttery and very old school while being contemporary in clarity.
When I say soundmen smile I mean it. I've played a lot of gigs before having Monique. Sound people say, "play some" then smile. What is that?!?
You who have them know that Monique's tone controls are musical. Though I rarely touch them the change is for nuance.
After being curious for awhile, I received a Monique in the mail yesterday as part of a trade. Plugged it in for the first time this morning, running it with the power section of a Glockenklang Blue Soul(EQ on the Glock was turned off, Monique in the input, haven't tried the effects loop approach yet) into a Bergantino CN 2x12. Um, yeah. The hype is completely worth believing!
The Fodera>Jule>Berg combination sounds amazing. I was also really pleased with the feel and presence that the Jule provides. While the Blue Soul is great on its own, I can see how the Monique's presence would really help the Glock's power section shine on a gig. That extra meat to each note could get really addicting!

The TD-100 was my gateway drug to Monique. Who knew tubes could be harnessed in pre form to sound so good? The Summit delivers what's possible from a 12ax7. Complex harmonics and hifi clarity. It is a great DI. For passive basses it's impedance loading dial is amazing. Without tone controls it limited what I needed it to do on the Berg IPs. Besides that it's serious kit. Electric vibes through the Summit into two JBL Eon 15"s is...., well you need a cigarette afterward.
Sorry to derail because the Monique is so much more and was designed to be. Where the Summit ends the Monique is just getting started. Discrete hand wiring. Musically capable power supply and transformers. Different tubes for different functions. What was Jule thinking? What bassists have been waiting for! Live & Studio. Amplifying Monique is all that's necessary. But you all know that!

Quick story from this weekend.
Paul Ill stopped by my gig on Friday night, asked what the toaster on top of my amp was. I explained the Monique and m700 to him and he said he might have met Jule at some point. After hearing it he was all smiles and said he will have to get one.
It was cool having a bass player of that caliper give me and my rig some props.

That was definitely from me. I've been trying to get a Monique into Paul's hands for years. He's my pal. Gonna text him now, give him a Valentine's Day loaner! Ha!
I am setting up business meetings with SIR, CenterStaging, and other major backline companies to help prevent this culture shock. LOL. Tube warmth and genius like this technology should be industry standard.
