I understand that the Dovecage works for lots but from the beginning, I was one of those guys saying I wanted a Mo' but not until it was in a rack. It made sense to me back in 2012 and now makes even more sense.

I hope I didn't just make for more pain-in-the-@ss work for you Jule and that it's a good thing.

Thanks Bill. Very much appreciate the opportunities you are giving all of us.

None of this falls into the "pain..." category. I am having a great time meeting the people (via email and such) and putting these together. A serious advantage small builders have is being able to move quickly and efficiently toward configurations that customers want. Just gotta keep the mind open. :D

I had Monique at band practice last night for the first time...DANG! Definitely the cleanest sound I've ever got out of my cabs - more so than I got with my Avalon U5 and Demeter HBP-1 (those both are still very good units). I've been running the EQ a little bumped across the board, line level knob pulled out, and sensitivity fairly low with the knob pushed in. Big thumbs up!

I got this Monique Bamboo with one of the nice studio slips bags, but I think I'm going to invest in a Pelican 1560 Protector case so I can get a bit more protection in case transport ever gets a little rough.

My current pair of cabs are a fEARful 15/6 and 15sub (both found used for crazy low prices here on TB) - like @BurningSkies has I believe.

Later this summer I'll be building up a new pair of fEARful 15/6/1s with a friend. Maybe I'm crazy, but the past couple days I've been thinking of putting a bamboo veneers onto the speaker baffles to match the aesthetic of the Monique Bamboo...not sure if that's a good idea, but I'm surely thinking about it.

Last night with Mo doing her thing.
The amp is barely idling here (line out pulled and at about 1/5 up) with only the bottom cab (AK C1533) plugged in and it sounded glorious. DI’d out the back to FOH. I was easily the loudest, fullest thing on the stage (so I did turn down a smidge).

Yes. But using the Mo for DI duty. I was getting some hum from the DI on the P-15 due to some weird electrical anomaly in the bar. Too much stuff on the few circuits we had at our disposal. I’m thinking some sort of ground loop or some induced interference. The P-15 doesn’t have a ground lift so I just swapped the xlr to the Mo and it worked mint.

Get yourself a Whirlwind Lifter. It's a pin 1 lifter that attaches to the XLR out of the P-15. I have the same problem sometimes with my REDDI and that always fixes it when the ground lift switch doesn't.

These are my quite pedestrian but very awesome sounding settings from both units into the C1533.
C1533 had one, then two of the three ports plugged (after the first set) and all switches up.

And the pedal board. Pretty much only used the Cali76cb and OCSD all night with some VMT in half a dozen songs.

And this was plenty loud for a five piece R&R band.

I haven't seen this in the last 185 pages plus the four previous threads on the Monique (but tbf I didn't look very hard) - is there a rule of thumb about the Sensitivity's impedance effect? Like, the higher the input the lower the Sensitivity?

I know, I know, use your ears. And I am. I keep it around 10-11 oclock, but lower input gains produce less clarity that can be cleared up by turning up the Sensitivity and vice versa.

So just looking for other folks' thoughts about this.

I leave it at noon, pushed in (but sometimes pulled out), but I go to that in the first instance for managing stage volume. I like to have at least a bit of line level happening. I’ve not noticed a clarity issue at lower volumes.
