Jule Amps Monique part 5

I've been out of the loop for a while, I see there is now an m500 in the lineup. I was wondering if anyone knows if Hypex is or may produce a module that produces power that roughly splits the difference between the m700 (UcD700HG?) and the m2500 (UcD2k?) that would also be of suitable size with power supply to fit inside a Monique combo (rack or tardis)? Basically a m700 combo amp with more wattage, please. Isn't the power supply in the m700 rated for up to 1200 watts? :)

You are correct. The Hypex 2500 power supply will comfortably run three 700 watt amps. That means one could choose 1, 2, or 3 700 watt amps.

The website for hypex is hypex.nl. Lots of product information there.

The space required to house more than one 700 watt amp will be a matter for concern. Both the Rack and Tardis 700 watt Monique versions use up all the space inside the chassis.

Second matter requiring attention is the necessity to maintain the airflow necessary to keep everything cool.

But everything is possible.

A bit of clarification on the 700 watt power supply used in the M series and the Rack and Tardis. That power will supply up to 1200 watts, but not all the time. Best to think of that power supply as Hypex intends, and that is as a supply for a single 700 watt amp.

Okay. I’m going to gush!
Gigged last night. Ashbory into Monique into AER Basic Performer.
I have always used Monique into powered cabs.
A while ago I started this alternate hookup that Jule envisioned, Monique into the front end of an existing combo or integrated head.
Last nights playing was great but the gear just worked. Monique! Delicious phat harmonically complex warm yet extremely articulate.

So, in theory, more short term proposition would be maybe an M2500 chassis and power supply with with 2x 700 amps within? I love clean headroom, I too am in the camp of scared of thermally melting my cabinets with the m2500. But if the speakers could handle the wattage, a Monique M2500 combo amp would just be

Sounds good to me. It would be a Rack Enclosure - most likely. A standalone like the Tardis might work too. Right now there is a focus here on getting good things ready for NAMM at the end of January, but after that is done with we can figure out what it takes.

I’m back!
I reluctantly sold a bamboo unit a few years back, & have been yearning for another Monique ever since. Just recently acquired a Tardis M700 & all I can say is Wow! Sounds better than I remembered, the tone is almost 3D-like.
To solve the aux-in/headphone scenario I’ve gotten used to, I just hooked it up to my PC via an audio interface. I’m really digging this setup! I have my tascam bass trainer hooked up to the other channel & I can instantly archive/track any ideas I come up with on the fly. I’ve already woken up to hearing cool riffs that I had already forgotten from the night before. Looking forward to what I’ll be able to create with my new toys/tools!

Yes. Long saga, but I'm expect to have both newbies at NAMM in LA (Disneyland really). The first version (all FET) of what has come to be called Simone was good. It proved that it would be best to do all this with small tubes. The 500 is cool too. The same Hypex quality, frequency range and power, but in a pedalish enclosure you can treat roughly. Makes sense. Everybody seems to live on the road - and it will get through customs in Dubai. (Inside humor)

Simone runs on off-the-shelf 9 volts (2000mls). The B+ will not be some silly low voltage that just pretends to be a tube circuit. B+ is the 120volts value specified in the tube specs, . Will not be ready for sale until after NAMM.
