@juledude just curious, your first name sounds French, as well as Monique and Simone, any specific reason?

For the most part, I simply like them. Should we some day discuss this over a glass of wine, maybe some bread and cheese, I will present other interesting ideas. None terribly true.

My name, I am a Junior, is a result of illiteracy several generations ago. Another wine and bread opportunity.

Monique and Berg NV cabs are such a monster tone pairing!

Was outside testing a very inexpensive ($69) 5.8ghz wireless unit. Not sure it’s gig-durable worthy…but no drops, latency, or tone issues, when a/b’d with my cable. Quite handy for practice use.

No. Not intentionally.

You can make it steady by replacing the light bulb behind the blue lens. It is known as a #47 bulb.

The #47 bulb is not expensive. It will cost you the price of half a croissant (or less) in most of France. Of course, if you are in Paris, it will be the cost of the entire croissant. . . with coffee.

That's about as fine as a rig as one might ever hope to play through.

One question: what is the switch next to the Line Level knob (at the 10:30 position)? I don't believe that my Mo700 has that switch.

It’s an input mute micro-switch …I specially requested, and Jule graciously made it happen! (The additional top light only lights up, if muted…)

Here’s my 2014(???) Monique at a recent gig in London, she’s been my mainstay on pretty much everything Ive done since she arrived. In 2014, or was it 2015… i really can’t remember if I’m honest. Either way she’s the best thing I’ve ever plugged into.

Monique arrived friday: it took 2 months to be built, and only 2 days to go from Santa Cruz to Paris (France)! The DHL delivery was blazing fast.

The Quilter Bass Block 800 is a great power amp for Monique in terms of tone, but unfortunately Monique is slighly wider. It is perfectly stable but it looks odd. Any advice?

There are many descriptions of Monique tone in this thread. Here's mine: all my basses simply sound much better with Monique, period.

Next step is to buy a 212 cab for gigs, and my infinite quest for the gear will be over (lol).

See if bare faced can make you a matching flat headshell case for the quilter thats wide enough for Monique to sit ontop

Yes, I bought it 30 years ago and I will take it in my grave. But I don't play it very often because it's sooooo heavy.

There is no law that says the head must sit in the amp… I actually kept my Monique on the floor in front of me.

I think Monique is voiced more for bass. Simone has more top end, so it may work better. But Jule does have great guitar options voiced for guitar.

Jule does have guitar amp options. To answer, my guitarist a booteeqee 4x10 Bassman playing fellow, plugged in to Monique. He played three notes and just turned and looked at me with a wonder smile.
