It was a 1976 Carvin LB75 that was the first year and only color it had precision body the neck a little slimer the P bass ut was like Ric neck and it was stereo and mono, I got my money back and i want to try to see if they get to keep it one pf the store managers is interested in one of my basses so i was going to get on e bay buy a neck and tuners and put it back together. I know it will take away its value but i have a feeling this bass sounds incredibleSorry, yeah, I missed that story. Arrived broken, not shipped that way? Yeah, that stinks, insurance claim on that, I hope! I don't remember seeing Carvins with that shape headstock - 70s, maybe?
On the other hand, if it was already broken and you bought it on the cheap to rebuild it, more power to you!

your joking i am still in shock if it was fender p bass or any common bass it wouldn't bother me but have you ever seen a carvin like that.I did so much research i never seen one for sale no reviews the only way i found out about it is through the carvin museum site that just gave me an idea i will get a neck from carvinNot sure if you've noticed. It's broken. Lol
Carvin's frets are usually pretty well done. But, they do not PLEK. They also generally do not offer much in the way of major fretwork, for servicing.I've never had a Carvin bass, just bought my third amp from them. Have never had a chance to try a PLEK'd bass either, gonna knock out two birds with this one. Have to admit, price drove this purchase. I have high hopes for it, but I still have the ten day trial to make up my mind.
To me, Carvins tend to look like they're trapped in the 80's. This one isn't so bad really. It doesn't have the super 80's look to me.
The headstock has the same problem all Fender copies have. In an attempt to avoid lawsuits by having the same headstock design it ends up looking like a Fender with downs.
What model is that? It looks like a Gibson Ripper. Maybe they should call it the Rip off.Mines uglier! Probably heavier tooView attachment 531007
Reminds of the girl next door who never wears make-up, has bushy eyebrows and a smoking hot body. Once you play her you can never get enough, and the other guys don't oggle her so she's trustworthy. Over time she becomes your soul mate and you cannot imagine ever playing another.
FIN
Yeah, go for it. Me, I'd even give putting the pieces back together a shot, since if that doesn't work, you were planning on a new neck anyway.
