Thanks, funny that you mention JohnK_10s clips...They were what helped me make my final decision.

I modeled the 3015 with a Carvin RL 115 cabinet in Win ISD... perfect fit. This combination goes loud and low. I have 2 identical cabs. I use one at smaller gigs and both at bigger venues. 15's Rule !!

I did put some damping material in the cabs and reinforced the baffle.

My god, that was my very first bass amp. I had a Kalamazoo bass to, I think that was 1967.
Haven't seen one of those in years, been through a lot of different gear since then.

I use a 15 and it's great as long as I stand directly in its line of fire. 45 degrees to either side and the top end drops off. I'm happy with mine and work within its limitations, but no they don't necessarily rule.

I guess the majority must either:
a. stand in the beam
b. have lost their top-end hearing
c. don't like top-end
d. are as tolerant as I am

I don't really think of speaker sizes one way or the other, BUT my favorite personal cabs happen to be loaded with 15's. As well a a 6" and a horn
