Just opened up my 210MBE...

I think so too - but go to the corners all the way. I hear that the corners can add some strange distortion - but I really need BFM here to say what's up to confirm that.
Any internal reflections will result in response peaks and dips. IMO it's pretty dumb to go to all the trouble that it takes to get inside the cab and then do only half the job.
Have you ever used any of the Owens Corning insulations? 703/705/R13
Rigid glass works well but IMO isn't worth hunting down. Wall insulation is too thick and very user unfriendly.

i like this thread for all the power-derails that keep happening. it's like a rollercoaster through multiple manufacturers' gear - something for everybody!

Ya know I never get all worried about siderails and taking a post off topic much.

It's all good and I think just gathering info is always a learnin' experience.

I even take my own posts OT 'cause I feel it's MY post and I can go where I like with it as long as it doesn't become a snipe hunt or a tempest.

OK, Taking pics...

BTW talking of derailing; on the way home from Sears I stopped off at my favourite music store, Bananas At Large, where I watched Victor play last night with the HyDrive 4x10 and decided to get one. Figured the state needed some sales tax... This with my old Hartke 3500 is the real tone I wanted! I guess I can sell the Peavey 410TX or keep as B rig in practice hall.

Anyways, going to start putting the foam inside the GK now. Also maybe a couple of braces too (there are none) as I have plenty of wood etc left over from my last hovercraft build...

Mike.

Guys who can build stuff are awesome. I cannot. Just never clicked with it. I was that kid in shop who they let just make a box, because it was hopeless. I made a few boxes. A wood one, a metal one, a plastic one. They all sucked. If I opened up my cab it would never work again.

Also not feeling very manly today because the "World" Series is about to start about a mile from where I am right now, and I do not care. Sports - baseball-type sports anyway - just never really sunk in for me. The last time I was really into sports was Ali's heyday.

I can fight, and chicks dig me. My guy credentials do not go very much further than that at all. If/when civilization collapses, and we have to rebuild from scratch, I will have to find one of you buildy guys, and work for you. I can guard the materials.

Speaking of derails ...

Did you hear something? C'mon! Whatcha hear?!

OK - if you can't build, then you can be in the band.

Really ---------- what'd you hear!?!

Quite pleasant! Feels about 70 or so, no complaints here.

I was poking fun, but I honestly do like this thread. I'm still hoping 'rag' will chime in with some more manufacturer insight. GK gear may not be the tone for me, but I still have quite a bit of respect for a manufacturer that tries to bring this kind of lightweight technology in at an affordable entry point.

There's a problem with the polarity of the extension jack of the 210 combo, which G-K rightfully is fixing at their cost. IMO the same should have been done when the lack of damping in the cabs was revealed.
