Ken Lawrence "Joust" 11-string

   My God.....that is beautiful. Truly amazing both in the craftsmanship and your ability to play the beasts. It's you guys that play these exsquisit instruments that are making me GAS for stuff that is at least 10 years away. [read as-after college and hopefully after i get a steady job]

This is late.. I missed the whole "themed instrument" discussion from a while ago. Just wanted to say that a Zelda themed bass with an inlay of different weapons (original NES zelda 1) for 1.3.5.7..etc... frets would be awsome.
oh. and the Joust bass looks awsome. congrats Jean. looking forward to seeing all those other monsters you have planned.

Steve

p.s. these are the weapons i'm talking about..

chucko/brendan/anti_wish - this comes up every once in awhile - I'm really attached to my customs so I doubt I would ever sell one. If it was something that was a standard model (like a bongo / jazz bass) I wouldn't have an issue selling, but anything I had a part in designing / choosing woods/options will probably stick with me for good. :hyper:

anti_wish - mike browne refunded my money because he wasn't building basses (dayjob/no shop). would still like one when he get's going again.

mikewho - that's bach's two part invention #13.

akito - The "unbeatable?" pterodactyl? :D Man, those get annoying on the higher levels when you have 2-3 of them on the screen.

:eyebrow:

nice inlay. if you can play it, go for it. the width of the neck makes it look like a 18" scale bass. pretty scary looking for a 4 string player.

okay, so JT spilled the beans on the Ritter... I guess I can give up one of my surprises. I think less than 10 people "know" about this one - and it's been in the works since November 2003. I'll post some specs tomorrow but here's the pics. Should be finished within the next month or two - I thought this would be the last of my customs to finish and turns out it may just be the first.

NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE HIDEOUS CLAW.
