:bassist:"Here comes Koogle with the Koo-Koo-Koogley eyes!" (Available in Chocolate, Cinnamon, Vanilla and Banana!):bassist:

I think they sold it in Chicago where Laklands are now made.
Oh yeah, I remember the commercials.:D

Come on!! You know you love it!
I had PB&J yesterday, actually. Jif extra crunchy plus Polaner All Fruit Strawberry--hell yes.

Like this only spelt different. ;)
*drool* I think nutella's a lot better. Food of the gods!

Joshua Tree did it for me. Not a big fan of the older or newer stuff.
I liked them a lot up through Joshua Tree. Kind of on and off since.

I just saw U2 play to 84,000 people in Dublin - AMAZING!....no Lakland tho:crying::confused:
I'm not a fan of giant shows like that, but congrats! I'm lucky (and old enough :D) to have seen them on the War tour in '83, I think it was a 3000-seat arena. Fantastic show.

Screw doing all the quotes for this one, especially since we're so far out in left field....
I eat peanut butter pretty much daily, but have never had Nutella (flamesuit on).
I also like some U2, but not the same as most... Although I dig Joshua Tree, Pop and Acthung Baby were my two favorites, now only the occasional song catches my fancy. Oh well, it won't stop me from seeing them in September!

Ebony board and it's the strings that Jesse had on her. He couldn't remember if they were MTD or Sadowsky. Silver thread and thru body at bridge... My MTD SS strings won't work thru the body, not long enough-- taper before the nut :( so I assumed they were Sadowsky ???

Those are likely the MTD Nickels I had on there. They fit through body, except I had the B toploaded so the taper would hit the bridge. A guy at a bass shop out here told me that Sadowskys apparently aren't long enough to go through body on a 35". I love those MTD Nickels!

I bought a set of Stainless MTD's and they don't go through body either. I thought I had bought the wrong size!

One last addition to the digression for me: Try nutella sometime, Randy--it's hazelnut, incredible stuff. It even goes with peanut butter.

Also, I forgot to mention I really like Achtung Baby.

Haha, I love the MTD SS set because the B is 135 while the rest of the set is reg medium: 105,85,65,45. For me, the fatter the B and E the better! My perfect set would probably be something like 135,110,85,62,40. I like a slightly smaller D and G cause they always feel so tight in comparison to the others. But I can't afford custom sets, so...

Anyways, what's the gauges of the nickels? I'm pretty sure these are your MTDs, although Jesse restrung the B thru the body and the taper doesn't reach the saddle now. Still works OK though.

You guys have Cost Plus World Market? They have a house brand that comes in different flavors...and it's stripped like Goober Grape!

I got a question for all you Lakland'ers out there. Im torn between getting a new 55-02 deluxe, or a used 5-94 deluxe. Of course the used american model is more expensive, so I thought I'd ask you guys for a comparison.

I would like to know if they are both tonal different, or if one plays better than the other.
Any information would be appriciated.

Thanks.

Tonally...they are probably slightly different, but the neck will feel nicer on the 55-94. Built quality will be better with the 55-94 too, but not saying Skylines aren't built great.
