Hi Guys.
I was just wondering if its possible to tell if my DJ% has been pleked and what pups are in it from the serial number.
Mine is 081228xxx if that means anything (other than being made in 2008)
Its a slow day so its just my mind wondering.
Let's try this again!

can any of you DJ pick players help him out????? read the posts...some good advice but maybe someone has some other advice to provide....hate to see the person give up on a Lakie!!!
Definitely PLEK'D, definitely Lakland pickups. Usually there is a hang tag that indicates that it was PLEK'D, but anything THAT LATE in 08 is going to be....
That was a custom made pickguard ordered by the previous owner. To tell you the truth, I didn't dig it at first. But when I thought about it I realize that I look at basses for sale all the time and they have a pound of wood chipped off under the neck pickup. Not a lot of resale value. From the audience, you can't really tell the pick guard's even there (apart from possible glare) and with a body like that, you've got to show it off! Makes sense to me, form + function. That pick guard also has a little gap for the truss rod adjustment, quite convenient! So, find someone who makes custom pick guards and there you go.Where'd you get that pickguard? No, no, no... you got it all wrong. I didn't hang out at the S******* forum, I just saw that they were on part 8. Are you kidding me? I'm probably the most blindly loyal one in this bunch! LOL
WOW. I just pictured you in the white Barry Manilow suit doing that song....
OK, quickie update before bed. Took ROJO5 to the gig tonight. Played her a bit at soundcheck, but stuck with the BG5 for the first set. TOTALLY forgot how to play a J after playing the P exclusively for the past month. Anyway, pulled her out for set 2, and got a LOT of comments on the finish, and she sounded great. Third set is a rocker, so went back to the BG, but overall, I'm REALLY happy with both....
Yeah it is in Australia too, but I'm 17 and my girlfriend is older than me, so if the saying was true, then I would be able to go and get trashed, legally. And that's the joke explained, lol.
Luke.

Wow, I haven't heard that before, good one.
