So what do you guys use on your HBs, or what suggestions?
If I go flats, it will most likely be Chromes, unless someone has a better idea.
Or nickle rounds. I have Slinkys on my fretted JO and Decade, Sunbeams on my fretless JO, and Bootzillas on my 4-07.

Hey everyone. Anyone who has a Glaub and a strong set of mitts might be interested in this.
I recieved a set of LaBella Jamerson flats today (49-109, not for the faint of heart). Threw them on my Glaub, died, and then went to Motown heaven. When I'm not gigging with my top 40 rock cover band, my favorite thing to do is play along with Motown and Stax records. After trying the JO Flats, TI Jazz Flats, and the LaBella's, I feel the Labella's win hands down. Great balance from E-G, and with a little foam under the strings, finally get close to copping that Jamerson tone. I'm in no way saying that I can remotely play like Jamerson, as no one can, but am as close tonally as I've ever been.

Sad Sad Sad Day today....with the exception of a 3TB hollowbody...I realized today that I am GAS free. It doesn't mean that uncontrolled, irresponsible, carefree spending won't still happen, but I don't NEED too anymore....after a few botched attempts at fretless, I realize that there is nothing I cannot cover with JO5, BG4, and 55-02. So, until my HB comes along, or a BG5 that meets my color requirements, or a decade in 3TB, or a DJ or whatever it becomes in 3TB, or.....DAMN.....it's back......
So much love and respect, yet hatred for you posting that...AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN....
on a serious note...if the DJ is discontinued, will they still offer service and such for them? Say you need a new neck or something?
Well, I have been looking at a few DJ's and have talked to Pat Wilkins about a refinish in 3TB. Unless I steal yours, I won't get one in the color I want....anyway, all I have stumbled on are maple and I want rosewood...
but stealing gives me a chance to practice my ninja skills

Just got done playin Inca strung with SS DR rounds... Holy crap Batman, she totally rocks the house!
This might not be what you're after, but then again I don't like flats, so the others I was thinkin are some Black Beauties or tape wounds.
Dude - I actually prefered rounds on my HB. I had some XL's on it and then some DR Black Beauties - - You know I like you....but M F'in F#@*r I am jealous right now!!!!!!
