Greg, I DARE you...if you ever order a "new" Lakie from the factory to get it painted orange with blue stripes or visa versa....
Heh. Maybe I'll get an orange one with removable racing stripes.:D
gag.... (sorry) not a big Yoko fan...John Yes...Yoko :spit:
OK--you do realize Yoko does not appear in that song, right???
I disagree Greg......on the Skylines, the neck profile is STILL different....US ones are a different matter...

I asked Carl about this the last time I was there..."pre-DJ announcement"...
Whoops! I stand corrected.

Hey guys,
Just wondering if Dan has released a statement RE the Darryl Jones model, I had a brief look around the Lakland website but couldn't find anything.

Luke.

My guess is Dan is waiting to find out if they will be able to continue the model or not before he says anything.
Just my speculation.

My only worry is that ill get the JO5 and then they will release some uber cool new bass to replace the DJ5. My only problem with the DJ5 is that I will end up dinging that darn headstock paint, and I prefer flat oldschool colours, not sparkle...

Hmmm, need to decide quick. The last DJ5s are in the UK now.

JO5 would be the safer and cheaper bet....plus it isnt being changed soon.

The JO5 is uber cool! If something new comes out to replace the DJ, it will be some wait for sure.

Speaking of the DJ-5...I was at the La Mesa Guitar Center this week and there was a modified one there for $650. Silver sparkle, rosewood board, no big dings/scrapes.

Before you get too excited, someone replaced the pickups with dual Seymour Duncan Music Man pickups with a Bart preamp. I could not get that thing to sound decent - HUGE bucket of mud and a waste of a good bass - IMHO.

Nothing yet......Think he is still trying to figure out what he can and cannot do...sometimes things are not "cut and dry" and can take time to work out...

no new news....

:(:rollno:

oh no!!!!!!!!

Silver sparkle you say? REALLY sparkly or just "minor" sparkle? the reason I ask is that DJ ordered a nice grey US DJ that had a minor sparkle finish to it....and a clear pickguard....really nice bass....I woner if this is THAT one?
