I'm loving it. The humbuckers are great (especially in passive mode). Fat bottom for days!
Visually, it is very cool. As you can tell by the other basses in the pic, it is a little bit "bling" for me. I think it'll be really funky on stage though. After 15 months, I can finally sleep.

Thanks, man. I was nervous about the sonic blue to be honest, and I'm sure there are some people who will hate it. But, I'm feelin' it and that's all that matters.

I had the active switch flipped. One thing that helped was when I read that the center indent on the bass control is not neutral since the bass is boost only. I only do tiny adjustments.

Say what?? Bass is boost only?? Center is not neutral?? Carl never mentioned this when he put the Chi-buckers in Sexual Chocolate .... That'd explain a lot.

So, is this true of all the Chi-bucked LH-3 equipped basses?

Aahh, well either way, SC DOES naturally have more bass output than my Bart-ed 55-94. She clips my amps more easily too.

yea, man. I just spent the past few hours playing it and my other basses.. tell me, with your 4-07, does it over overdrive your amp even at low gain settings?

evan, see if there is an internal trim pot for gain on the j retro, i know i needed to turn mine down quite a bit, the Chi- buckers are pretty hot pups.

It is a great tone. Is the JO pickups configuration the same as a Fender Jazz ? That’s the fretless tone I’m after on my Fender.

Its a small plastic gig with a "x" in it the size of a jewelers common screw driver.
