OMG!!! that is a thing of shear beauty!!!!:D

Good choice.....their 3TB is REALLY growing on me....and I "don't like" 3TB!

This just means you need to get another and refin that one!!! he he he!!

When I first purchased my BG last Sept., I was contemplating refinishing the bass in Daphne Blue or Sonic Blue because I already have two other basses in Sunburst and was really wanting a retro solid color. I had actually set up an apt. with a local luthier to refinish the bass but had to wait 6 weeks to get in the cue. During that time I just fell in love with Lakland's sunburst and how well it compliments the tort they use. Well, here it is 6 months later and I have no intention of changing anything exempt strings when the time is right.

Hmmmm...now you GOT me thinking Gus!!!!

That is indeed a BigSplit. It is really a huge sound! It matches well with the NP5 and gives it a really clear tone when both are full. It is also really full on its own. What's great with this setup is that with either pickup solo'd, it is dead quiet. No hum at all. I've got some well worn Chromes on it at it is just a buttery delicious tone. When the LOG bass comes, the flats will go there and this will get some nickels.

Pat Wilkins did the work on this one and he was playing it through this huge cabinet (either an 8x10 or a 6x10) in his office. It was thunderous. A really, really fabulous combo IMHO and well worth the upgrade. I'll probably have a different pickguard made at some point since I don't have so much stuff to cover up now.

Buying that 55-01 and doing this to it is right there near the top of the best money I've ever spent on bass-related stuff.

Hawk!!! nice to have you back!

e-mail me to remind me (you can do it through my name) and I will check when I am in the office...

Peace:

Doude

I've gone back quite a few threads trying to find out what my original LOG # was. Anybody know where I can find my LOG club #?

I was Lakland-less for a few months, but now I'm back. Tried a search but no joy.

Thanks!

Time for a new picture Jarrhead!

Maybe you don't have time since you are playing in every band your school has!!!

any more Boingo gas? or can I assume that is quenched by Lakie love?

Nah. I need an aggressive four string, and in time it will be a bongo. But I have no GAS. My needs are nowhere near it at the moment.

I am cured of my GAS, but saving up for the future. When I turn 17 i will be getting myself a non-lakland (not bongo) as a graduation reward to myself. Maybe earlier if I grab a scholarship to berklee.

And you forgot that i'm the sound tech for assemblies, theatre productions, and extracurricular events. :o
