Always a challenge....
all of the "good names" seem to be taken....
then you think of something like.....oh I don't know...."Electric Refrigerator" and it sticks because everyone is sooooo tired of thinking about it.....then you do your first gig and think

I had the chance today (well, technically yesterday, but you get the point) to play a US Lakland for the first time. I was COMPLETELY blown away. I played both a 55-94 and a US Decade (passive) and both sounded and played absolutely phenomenally.
I've always wanted to try a decade, and I was not at all disappointed when I picked it up. The neck felt amazing, and the chi-sonics absolutely sung!
I'm not normally a 5 string player, so the neck on the 55-94 was a bit wide for my tastes, but I know that if a played 5 normally, it would be every bit as amazing as the neck on the Decade. And don't even get me started on the tone! Every tweak of a knob made is sound more beautiful than before, and if I had an extra couple grand laying around, I would be ordering a 44-94 right now.

YES!! I can relate to your story. I bought my first Lakland without ever seeing/touching one, a used 55-94 via eBay. That's sounds crazy to most folks, but I did plenty of research. It's been a love story ever since.
Sweet bass and a killer rig. What's up with the dual bassists/dual Aguilar rigs? That's a whole lotta coolness up on stage right there
