LAKLAND OWNERS GROUP #42

I had the chance today (well, technically yesterday, but you get the point) to play a US Lakland for the first time. I was COMPLETELY blown away. I played both a 55-94 and a US Decade (passive) and both sounded and played absolutely phenomenally.

I've always wanted to try a decade, and I was not at all disappointed when I picked it up. The neck felt amazing, and the chi-sonics absolutely sung!

I'm not normally a 5 string player, so the neck on the 55-94 was a bit wide for my tastes, but I know that if a played 5 normally, it would be every bit as amazing as the neck on the Decade. And don't even get me started on the tone! Every tweak of a knob made is sound more beautiful than before, and if I had an extra couple grand laying around, I would be ordering a 44-94 right now.
:hyper:

Cool! Glad you dug 'em! Easy to see why they're loved so much.

Sorry to hear that RHCP. What happened?

Whups... that doesn't sound to good.

Why?

I got out of work a little later than I wanted, so I missed the first set. My 2 bandmates played though, probably about 50 people there and they were digging it. I get there and by the time the list goes through and we're up again, theres 5 people there and getting ready to peace out, so we played one song which I botched and then took off.

Eh, theres always next time.

Hehe! Yeah, once I played a US Lakland, I knew I had to have one (OK, three so far :D). Still love my two Skylines, but the US necks just can't be beat.

Exactly. No biggie, just chalk it up to experience and move on.

And it sounded sweet!!!

Just bought the Neon Trees "Habits" CD, haven't had a chance to listen yet and don't know that I've ever heard anything of theirs before LOL. But, Brandon gives thanks Dan, Leo, and all at Lakland in the CD liner... a nice thing me thinks :).

I don't have it yet, but I did see it in Best Buy (I was cash-strapped at the moment). And that Jimmy Kimmel appearance turned out great! Congrats, Branden.
