It is a Samick Corsair....it actually sounds pretty good....

I bought it for Rebecca to play....she picks it up now and again but not often enough....she gets frustrated when she cannot just "play" like Daddy...I am trying to get her to learn basic plucking etc and that is "boring"

BTW: here is my favorite Rebecca/bass picture (totally impromptu):

The T-40 is now gone as well...

Okay *somebody* on this thread once bought a tiny bass for his daughter or something. I've been scouring the threads all morning looking for it so's I can prove a point in an argument. Who bought it, and what was it?

Better not get her a SS Decade....she'll never get to play it!!! Dad will have it all of the time....he he he!!

So it's Spring Break here next week. Our kids are going to spend some time a Music Camp. My daughter (who plays flute in an award winning Middle School band as well as takes piano lessons at the music school where the camp is being held) and my son (who plays drums in a different, non-competitive band at the same school) were told they could pick whatever instrument they want to play at Music Camp. My son chose drums. Any guess what my daughter picked? Ukelele! Yeah!:bassist:

Just kidding. She wants to play bass! Better start saving for that short-scale Decade...:hyper:

(note: Ukelele depicted in rocking bassist emoticon is actual size)

I kept meaning to mention today..

I had a dream I found a Black n' Maple and Deluxe Natural/Maple 55-01 in my garage. I thought "oh yeah, I bought the black to hold me over until i got the cherry and the quilted cause it was such a steal..."

I was so sad when I woke up.

Sorry.....good luck on the new venture.....

new beginnings often bring good things...

I'm not going to go into too much detail, as that would be unprofessional... But yeah, egos need to be checked at the door with all the other baggage. And that goes for EVERYONE.

On an unrelated note, I've decided I'm going to resign from my current band to try and put something else together.

Bill:

sorry about that...you do not have a shirt size listed in your profile (:smug:) - if you sent me an e-mail sorry I forgot.

will send you out a medium soon...

I got my LOG package today too. Anyone want an XL t-shirt? Just like last year I asked for medium and got XL. Should have taken the cd I guess. If you want it PM me your address. 1st request gets it.

She knows which bass is cool!

Nice, looking forward to eventually seeing it.

What is the normal turnaround time between ordering a U.S Lakie and the finished product?
Hard to say, Luke. This would be my first brand-new one, but I know wait times can vary depending on the backlog at the time of the order and other factors. Based on what I know, I'd expect it to be a bare minimum of 6 months and probably more like 9-10.
