Seems completely insane to me. Stuff should be totally cookie cutter considering the bodies are CnC'ed. But that's just the Joe Consumer in me talking.

I agree. I also know that Roger can be a bit...abrasive (although he's done great work for me many times). There may be some issues with Indo pickguards not matching, but I would venture to say it may be a run to run issue, and not a "no two are alike" issue.
WooHoo....home for two days!!! Oh yeah, I love my laklands.
Welcome home![]()
Yep...you have to send Roger the guard.
Thanks man!! Really great players too! (Fanning the GAS)

Excellent. I hope a new family portrait is on its way![]()
Speaking of your pickups, I saw in a few posts where you say how good the old Bart's sound that used to come in Lakies. Just wondering if you knew how the sound of the old Bart's differs from potential newer ones.
A slight misunderstanding. I prefer the LH3 system to the Barts I tried, but they were newer, so I can't speak for the older systems.
To me, and this is all subjective so bear with me, I found the LH3 to be a bit "clearer" and more "crisp", if you will, than the Barts I tried, IMO etc etc
Jody would be the man to ask about the older system
White Decades with black pgs just look so righteous.
One is a brand new Glaub. A price so low Leo has one in B stock. He could not beat the price.
Then I'm looking for a 55-02 Deluxe or DJ5 (used).
As Markus said, it's hard to generalize. The 4-07 is really versatile--it comes with humbucking Chi-sonics (with push/pull for single-coil-like operation) and an active/passive switch. (You can also get a passive tone knob added.) The 'buckers sound huge and a little on the dark side, while the singles have more attack and growl. Also, I know Ed got different pots put on his to get more high end out.Man Freidland's tone is Really nice
It's my impression that the chi's sound a little rough.. they've got more growl to them?
slightly similar to having a passive system?
Now I hear what I like in his playing but it Could be his hands.. Is that the correct impression of chisonics? more growl, bite .. attack?
Very nice!FRETLESS US DJ:
it's wearing flats with a little favoring towards the bridge. I love this bass to death!
So get the Glaub and keep Midas! One is a brand new Glaub. A price so low Leo has one in B stock. He could not beat the price.
