LAKLAND OWNERS GROUP #47

^That's^ just beautiful--congratulations! The black PG makes for an interesting contrast.

I've been jonesing really badly for a Skyline Duck Dunn (or whatever they're called now). I don't see anything about this on the Lakland site, though: about how heavy are these basses? Thanks.

I had a 55-02 that was my main bass from about '03-'06 and want to get back into the Lakland family...

I think they're the 44-64 custom now, and the Glaub is just a regular 44-64. The thing is no heavier than a Peavey T-40, so I'm good (but it's close!)

sorry to hear that you had to handle it locally....I can see where you are concerned about the shipping etc.

they sent you $100 (Lakland did?) - wow...good deal!

glad you like it now.....

as for GAS being relieved? I wish.....maybe we shold have a no picture policy on TB...and no raving reviews....that is the ONLY way to cure GAS!

haha, no it was actually the repair shop that sent me the money. their messed up wiring job threw me in a rut for a while.

About the GAS, though. I force myself to pick up my perfectly fine bass, and as I listen to how awful I am, I realize more time should be spent practicing the damn thing, and not drooling over other people's basses.

A very belated photo of me and my lakland 5501.

Thanks. I never fail to get complimented on my unique bass. Beaver Felton at Bass Central had Lakland pull a unit designated for his inventory off the line and change the specs to Lake Placid Blue/Maple for me. I believe Lakland may have discontinued the classic series on 55-94s shortly after that.

very nice!!! I love that color....when you say "line" you mean...a guy's bench......no assy line there (that is part of the love I have for the company...very hands on!)

I finally found my Lakland 55-02 Deluxe Fretless.

In 15 days will be here in Brazil.

BassCentral ordered one Amber for me.

oh man!!! I LOVE that color...lucky you got one...I hear they were sold out....you will LOVE the fretless sound....

love the WHINE this guy gets on his 4-94 fretless!

Well, I pulled the trigger, I bought a 2005 US Lakland Bob Glaub, I think I got a good deal for $1,500. Sadly, the original case doesn't come with it. Can I still buy the cream case from Lakland?

congrats on a sweet deal....yup...sure can:

Congrats, that's a killer price for a US Glaub!

Talk to Leo Lopez at Lakland ([email protected]). They sometimes have used cream cases they can sell.

I'm in with my NOS Duck Dunn. I don't need a number, as I really don't "club" or "group". I just wanna hang out with you fellas...

if you don't need a number that is cool....you can hang all you want without one....and you can hang here:

the black sure does...not a black guard on my CAR 55-94 fretless.....

the DD are now: 44-64 Custom (Vintage P w/ J Neck)...the "custom" minicker gets you the b&b neck...

weight can vary....Skylines can be 8.5-10 lbs or so

Do you guys know the turnaround time on a build?

email [email protected] and [email protected] to find out....I know JP and Bo are doing what they can to decrease the lead time....if you find out...post....

ahh...gottcha.....

I do the same thing but it does not always help the GASciousness.....I like the beauty of them as well....I consider them my "art collection"....

It's been a while since I've posted anything but my gear for sale but I FINALLY got a chance to snatch some photos of my 55-94

Since I sent it to Pat I've put a pickguard on it! I got it from roger (ofcourse) and I didnt have the worst experience ever as some had..

but this is her. My dream bass. I love the sound.. the playability and NOW the look....
