Having said that, I always run D'addario Chromes through the body.

I don't think there are any flat wounds that are recommended to be strung through the body.

Maybe I should post this in the Chi-love topic, but I think I'd have better luck in this topic with the following question: could you please share some experience or opinions with me about the combination fretless and ChiSonics?
Since I like to build/assemble my basses myself, I've planned to build a fretless hollowbody with ChiSonics. I almost know for sure this will be a stunning combination and end up in a powerfull expressive fretless, but I would like to hear some opinions.
I've ordered a box full of Chi's from Bo, so I will be busy the coming months.Have planned 3 CS-basses for myself and more for others.

OMG!
IT's NUBS?
Hey Everybody, it's NUBS!!!
might be. In the past, we've had people who swore they'd heard about people who'd actually seen people whose ancestors had known about Nubs. But the lore is long gone...
Loves me some Chisonics! I had a fretless US JO CS and really loved it...nice and thick mwah when favoring the bridge, and nice thump when favoring the neck. I just don't play fretless that much. Ian...the dude that did the clips for Lakland has it now so maybe he will chime in. I say DO IT!
Thanks Marcus! Did you get that signature growl , that complex midrange also with a fretless?![]()
For the positioning of the pickups (I ordered the CS Hollowbodies for the fretless), I'm still doubting if I would favor a Decade CS-setup, or a "Jazz-configuration".
There's some amazing Decade fretless on the LOG CD!!

Oh yes...only thicker! I put the neck on my Decade for a few days to try it out...and MAN!!! If I were to order a fretless again...it'd be a Decade....just incredible!
this will be the ride for the ChiSonic Hollowbody pups:
(sorry for the non-Lakland-pic, but hey, there's big Chi-Love here)
I received my 2005 USA Bob Glaub today, along with my new cream case! It's great, I can't wait to get home, put some flats on it, and see what it can do...

Thanks, talked to Leo, they shipped out a cream case for me yesterday, I'll get the US BG and the case tomorrow! I can't wait, come on, let it be tomorrow now...
So what else did you and JP discuss?
I think you're withholding vital information...![]()
