you've made a good point. Not only that Shorelines are to be seen often enough (and they are not, being a japanese inner market line); but, how much do we know about contemporary j-rock? Me, I admit I don't know much. Google 'Maximum the Hormone', FYI.
BTW, several other ESP signature models for the japanese musicians do seem ugly to me. I take it that's a different tradition of what is considered to be 'beautiful', that's all

Ive just tested a Lakland Teal 55-60. I was going to buy it, but I noticed the G string wasnt anywhere near the middle of the pole pieces on the pickup....the D wasnt much better either, (bridge pickup).

I dont get it. Some of them in the store were fine, some were way off, and this one was the worst. The G even sounded quieter....

I dont understand how this could happen. The pup couldnt be moved lower. Bad routing?

Musicman20, several things could've been checked and or tweaked to possibly remedy the situation. The neck may have been shifted to the side. The bridge saddles could have also been shifted. Worse case: bad bridge centering and/or poor routing.

How could the saddles be moved along? I checked that and couldnt see anyway to remedy it unfortunately.
