When you get her to the gig she'll really shine. It sits SO nicely in the mix. There's not a day that goes by that I don't miss that bass. Glad you're happy so far!

Walkabout/Henry 8x8.

Big, fat, clean ash/maple P bass.
Dang, I really like that NP5 pickup.

Can't wait to get to the job Friday night.

Glad to hear it Alan! I had BG5 #1, and it played and felt killer, so I know where you are coming from!

two more notes:
the dunlop strap lock bits were loose on the body. no biggie

Bama was nice and sent the BG5 in one of the new Lakland hard shell cases.
Nice enough case, but, the bass doesn't fit in with the strap (and all the dunlop bits) on it.

So, "small boo" on that.

How are you diggin' the Dunlop nickels tone on that bass?

followup bench note:
the tone pot was a little hard to turn.
this is 'cause it was resting against the pickguard.
easy fix: loose the knob, raise it a tad, tighten it up. done dealio.

Just got these two beauties..

The 44-60 Custom (Jazz) is waiting on a new pickguard, either tort or black. I'm leaning towards tort. And also most likely a pickup cover.
