Nola: sometime when you're bored, order some LaBella black tapes for that HB...
cool! The -01 series are on the low end of the PRICE scale but NOT the quality scale!
I have said this MANY times and beleive it to this day...I will place a Skyline up against MANY US made basses and feel it will win in the quality, sound and feel category every time!
"Candy Tangerine" is a cool color...ever think of "Markus Orange"?![]()
Joking aside, I'd love to see pics of your CAR fretless, Doug ...
they don't all fit on one couch!!!
actually - no turkey for me- my mo-in-law decided on roast beef...really good but I did feel like I was missing something...
we are doing the Turkey complete with stuffing, vanilla-bourbon cranberries (a specialty of mine) and all of the other fixin's) at Christmas!
Took a nice pic of my Hollowbody.

Traded my DJ4 natural for this 55-02 natural. Thanks Christian.
I got a thing for natural basses. Interesting grain pattern in this one, funky.

Well, since I have been playing the natural 44-01 more and more, I'm really digging the grain, so maybe I will consider the "Markus Orange."
I actually just ended up trading my modded MIA Jazz bass for a brand new 44-01 in sunburst with a rosewood fretboard. Maybe that one will go in for a candy tangerine or something else equally interesting. We shall see.![]()
Ouch, exclamation point overload.Doug is back in FULL Strength!!
It's good to see you back with Broadband at your disposal!

I just placed an order for a Limited Edition Trans White 55-60. Looking forward to owning my first Lakland. I actually work for a new Lakland dealer, so I knew it was only a matter of time.![]()

You know, I played it with the stock roundwounds for a bit. However, the flats really brought it to life (they are TI's) in my opinion. I'm curious what it would sound like with the tapewounds. I'm thinking about throwing some flats on my P-Bass, so that might make sense to even further the sonic palette.
Lovin' the Labella Tapewounds on my J05![]()
