That's the last time I let Bella change strings. She knows she screwed up. You can tell by her expression. Although not too bad for someone without thumbs.

Actually, that is a 'before' pic right after I rescued the bass from Craigslist. She's all purdied up now and hangin' out in my office....

Lakland steels are so-so, but the price is good. I'm still wondering how come they are less expensive than the GHS, even being 1 inch longer
DR Longnecks work great for me but they are pricey
Ernie Ball Regular Slinky (green pack) are probably the best price/quality ratio

Any problems on the Long Necks stringing through the body. I've always liked DR's.

DR Longnecks HAVE to go thru-body, the taper end is made extra long just for thru-body applications.

Hey thanks JJ. I really appreciate it. WOW 850Hz...surprising to say the least!!! The gig I did when I didn't dig my sound the mids were set at 250Hz which made it sound really muddy. I've got a few gigs coming up so I'm kind of excited to give 850Hz a shot. Damn I may just keep the back plate off and experiment with the different frequencies on the fly. Thanks again bro.

Prolly the overall output for the preamp. The LH-3 has it as well. That thing can get crazy hot when you turn it all the way up. I set it to match the gain of my other basses for the most part.

Killer indeed!!! I went to Lakland today and saw a 44-01 in the same color.... WOW!!!!
Take that 44-01 and put in some of the new Chisonic "Drop-ins"

I've noticed nothing unusual... it's louder than passive instruments, but that's normal. I'll look at it sometime in the evening.
