Put a few more pics on the LOG and 44-01 threads.
Can't wait to make some mods and make this a true blues monster.

Lindseyp is no longer LOG #66. The 55-02 is going to a (soon-to-be-VERY) happy new owner in Europe this week. Anyone here know what bass amps are the most popular in Europe? I have never been there.

Depends what part of europe you're in! Mark Bass is Italian, EBS is Swedish, TC Electronic is Danish, Ashdown and Trace Elliot are British, TecAmp and Glockenklang are German. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say that probably Ashdown are the biggest-selling brand, with Glockenklang being the most prestigious (mainly because they're so d**mned expensive!)

On a side note - are there ANY french amp manufacturers? I cannot think of even one!

EDIT: Just occurred to me that German company Warwick also makes amps, and in all probability they're the biggest sellers worldwide.

well: the last 2 runs were "custom" color runs (teal and inca silver) and they were mostly pre-sold.

I am assuming that "standard" colors will be ordered in the near future....pre-order one from a dealer and I am sure you can get one!

Prob its just me, but they seem hard to find nowadays, been to a couple of stores that "supposedly" carry lakland basses but haven't seen that model :hmm:

got my 5501 today. looks killer! the sound however is not mine. it came with some D'Addarios strung on it and I did not care for the feel or sound of them. i restrung the bass and it sounds better. we will see how it sounds in the worship mix sunday. new pickups/preamp is definitely needed.

Hello all, I've just received my first lakland love. It's exciting. Very pretty I think. Pics are from previous owner. But so good.

Congrats! The Dunn is sweet-looking (I've always had a CAR Lakland in my stable) and they play quite nicely.

Love the Dunns! The CAR is so beautiful up close where you can see the metalflake.

If you get to wanting a different look, consider Jeannie's pickguards' red tort.

Not to stray off topic, but your avatar picture is a personal favorite of mine....two of my absolute heroes:)

Back on topic: still loving my LOG bass!
Cool, man! Mine, too.:) I was so excited when I recently discovered that they collaborated on this Bob Marley cover before Joe's death (I had heard Joe's solo version and had no idea about this one). So I had to steal the picture for my AV.

I have been thinking black pearl. But I'm also going with a cover too, so dunno. They also have black cherry pearl I was considering....or gold like the lakland logo, which is my favorite color combo in general. But gold may look silly with chrome hardware and such. Aaahhh decisions. Fallback is a white pearl of sorts. But I dooooo want a cover on the pickup.
