I've been shopping for quite a while, saw some great deals on some used ones I should have grabbed and in the end went with what I first saw on the Lakland site a couple years ago, a Skyline 44-60. The old JO first caught my eye, especially in this color, this one is the slightly different, LTD version

Thanks. I could easily just use my amp at most venues, including this one -- those NEO speakers push power. But sound guys still run the DI through the PA. That way the sound guy can control the balance and levels with the other instruments and the bass fills the room more since it's going through speakers on both sides of the stage. I love the rig though and the easy load-in and load-out!

In for the big 5-0! (a little late, sorry :p)

Me playing at the Bras Across the River Breast Cancer Benefit last summer with my beloved 4-94D.

Sadly, she's taking second fiddle nowadays to a (gasp!) SX 5 string Jazz. I needs me a 55-60 or -64! Stupid brokedness :scowl:

They really are amazing, amazing basses. I picked her up in 2002 used from Jay at the NJ Bass and Guitar Center. She's got the old barts in there. I find the mid control is the key for making her shine in the mix, and depending on the settings will drive any band.

Got any pics of yours JJ? I'm sure you posted them in threads 1-49 but I'm too lazy to look. :o

I agree.

I'm due for a photoshoot of my current bass family... maybe I can get some pics posted soon.
