So I'm assuming if you think you have 0.25in shafts that the ones you ordered won't even slide on? You may want to take a ruler and measure them first off to make sure. Then you're going to want to look for knobs that say they fit 0.25in or USA solid shaft pots.

do you mean what bass to buy? well...ANY Lakland is a GREAT lakland but for "beginners" I would do an -02 series (44-02 or 55-02) since they are so versatile...
