so.......JO26 is on its way home?????? huh???? THAT explains the sale of the Skyline...

YAHOO!!! :hyper:

NO NO NO... I wish!
It's not coming back.
I'm getting a J4 made just like it though. I sent in close up pics of the finish (the burst on that one is special), the guard and everything... birdseye inlays. The onlything different is that i'll have big singles and a different looking headstock (callowhill).

I love Laklands like crazy, but his 34" scale basses seem more compact and easier for me to play. A short scale Decade is up on my list.

so THERE is where that ended up! nice bass!

welcome aboard and make sure to check out: Link Removed if you have not already.....

Yes, I like it. Only had a chance to gig it once so far, but have a few coming up in the next couple months. It sounds great, plays great, (I actually raised the action from the previous owner by tweaking the truss rod a bit. It was WAY too low for my taste) and is a beauty. It's a bit on the heavy side, but no big deal for me.

I have an addition to the family. I have been a devout Skyline user ever since I bought my 55-01 in 2002. With that being said, this 4-94 is amazing. Everyone said that the necks are magic. They're right.

I know a secret potion to this magic! I sent my new-to-me Skyline to Carl and, among other things, it is getting a US-like treatment to the back of the neck

BTW, Carl wrote to me the bass is ready. Now for another little thing and... woooooohooooooo!!!

denchiq . . . sorry, it took awhile to get back online - was very busy - yes, lowering the pickups even further took care of the problem, though, at the same time I copper foiled the pickup cavities and under the control plate . . . I'm slowly raising the pickups toward the factory specs until I get the warble again . . . then I'll lower it down just touch!

ah, that's good
copper foil is good too, I once had to use it.
