it's weird how this parallels the *very* recent demise of Jack Layton, who you won't know in the US, but who was the leader of a political party I'm a member of, and who was leader of the Opposition in Ottawa. Two heartbreaks within a month or two, man. I just don't get it.
Btw, anyone ever seen a spalty 55-94? Now that my NYC Sadowsky is actually being built, I'm just musing about what my next spendy bass might be, provided I can get the budget approved by the household CFO...

Wow. Major ramps on that buckeye burl 55-94. I'll check the vids out when I get home this eve.
I was cruising around today, and happened upon this: http://valentibasses.com/news.html. So, if you want spalt, 18mm/34, whatever...you can still get the MM/J + LH3 tone that you know and love. You just get a strange looking headstock.
