Btw, anyone ever seen a spalty 55-94? Now that my NYC Sadowsky is actually being built, I'm just musing about what my next spendy bass might be, provided I can get the budget approved by the household CFO...

I saw one at NAMM a few years ago. It wad Bill Dicken's. He came to the Lakland booth to play it too! Incredible!!! I shot some video... I'll look for it! The spalted Laklands are killer!!

I was cruising around today, and happened upon this: http://valentibasses.com/news.html. So, if you want spalt, 18mm/34, whatever...you can still get the MM/J + LH3 tone that you know and love. You just get a strange looking headstock. :)

I'm wanting to go the opposite: 55-02 body with Nordy P/J and Mike Pope's pre. I guess a trip to the second city to steal a body blank and rosewood neck out of the warehouse is in order (kidding of course!)

there's where than ninja thingy comes in handy, Hess

Agreed. Unfortunately, the iPad forum app doesn't have an 'advanced' text editor with the emoticons, and I couldn't remember the markup syntax. and...I'm no ninja. :ninja:

Headstock jokes aside, it's cool that Nino is promoting that relationship. I wonder when the first LH equipped Valenti will show up in a NBD announcement.
