Thanks for the info...... The AJ is sweet. Jazz on steroids. Played about 30 gigs with it since July and have received numerous compliments on tone and looks. It is the actual bass from the website and sounds as good as it looks( but then again all Laklands sound good). Thanks again!

I met a guy at a gig Sat night, a friend of our drummers brother, anyway, he plays bass in a band. We got talking about gear, stuff, and all that. He asked me where I got my bass (Lakland DPLEII) and I said, "Oh, I got that on Talkbass" and he said, "What's Talkbass".
There are still some of "them" out there, I now have proof.

:D

love the tung oil finish.....smooth and delicious!!!
yep!

Hehe. Dan, I saw you were considering a Mesa 610 to go with a Mesa head. Let me tell ya, the Walkabout may be "only" 300 watts, but it will get stoooopid loud with my Berg 610! I think it's their best-sounding head, YMMV. But you won't need a more powerful amp with that cab unless you're planning on playing metal in arenas.:D

JUST pulled the trigger on a minty Mesa M-Pulse 600 head in the Mesa tolex housing with foot controller!
So amp done...now onto finding the cab(s)
And time to sell off my entire GK rig...
Oh and yes, staying on topic...man I love Laklands :D :hiding:

did some playing /hearing last night with two other bassists. Had all kinds of compliments about both Nessie and the LOG PJ5 I took with me. Had both plugged into an Ampeg B200r.
The PJ5 has lots of sounds, sits well in a mix - it was the first time I could listen to it from aside.
The 3 PJs I've had before only had a J as a mixup to the P and were no good on their own. Not so on the LOG PJ5, due to the custom wiring - Carl did it right! The bass unfolds with time and I find more cool sounds.

Tomorrow night for the folks in Cincinnati or the surrounding area...

Great pics.... I really need to take a better pic of my 55-02

I'm sure I've said this before, but Cincy folks should not miss this. I've never seen Norm, but Frank played the Lakland GTG in 2010--absolutely outstanding! Killer player and a cool guy to boot.

Had a Walkabout - great head! Sold it for the M-Pulse as I needed more juice. Bomber build and great tone - I never really get into the parametric EQ section - does very well straight up!

I keep it at the practice space now and travel with Aggie heads.

They all sound great through Berg cabs, HT 112, HT 115 or an NV 215!

Lakland Lakland Lakland!

Whuts up with the LOG site????? :hmm:

Looks like the domain name expired yesterday.

No way? really? :eyebrow:
Guys, we're in the process of moving to a new web-hosting service (to go along with the announced new board). But I thought we'd extended with Godaddy for a little longer during the transition. John/Gecko knows much more about this stuff than me, he and Doug have been alerted.

Greg is correct. In the process we thought that we would not have to extend the domain name with the current registrar, but that was not the case.
We are renewing it as I type this note, it should be back online shortly.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

The site is up and running now.:)

Don't worry John..

Actually you and Marcel (and Markus) will all get a bonus for all of the "heavy lifting" you guys do
I have it easy! All I really do is pay the bills and "wave" a little ;)

"Surround yourself with good people and things get done even when you are out of town....." at least that is what I have been told...

You know what?

It works!

Thanks for the efforts guys!
