I've tried messaging a few TBers, but does anyone know who currently has that Teal Decade?
Not that I have a ton of cash as my disposal, but I really do want to locate one of these, if not for now then the future!

As a follow-up to my last round of string tree beautification I finally got around to ordering some aluminum spacers from McMaster-Carr and see how those worked out.
I ordered two lengths to also see which was best:
# 92510A008 Aluminum Unthreaded Spacer, 3/16" OD, 7/32" Length, #4 Screw Size

After trying them both and comparing them to my plastic prototypes I ended up using the 1/4" version simply because they offer a hair more clearance on the B string behind the nut. Both would work fine though. And I do prefer their appearance to the plastic versions and, with a little more effort, these would probably polish up nicely..

I really loved Matts US Decade green. Actually asked about buying it before locating my Decade.
I think it is amazing in the new deep blue as well.
If you are looking to buy a US Decade on the used marketplace.
You might find it a bit difficult.
There are not all THAT many US Decades floating around out there it seems.
ESPECIALLY with dual Dstars like Matts gem!
Maybe if ya twist JJ's arm REALLY hard ya might be able to talk him into letting go of his Shoreline Gold one???
Why didn't I think of this before? At one point I needed to create some spacers to fit Sadowsky knobs onto US pots, so I tracked down some brass tubing and bought a mini pipe cutter.
In the process of looking for this stuff I also came across some stainless steel as well as aluminum tubing in various gauges. Found everything on good old Amazon in the Scientific section - didn't know they had that category either. I used the mini pipe cutter to cut the 12" lengths of metal tubing down to what I needed.
ah....sorta....MrMatt has this one BUT it is no longer teal...it is now a midnight blue...almost black in some light....

How might I go about getting a unlined, fretless neck for my Skyline Joe Osborn 5, currently has the fretted rosewood. Is this even possible? Thanks for any info on this.
Also, own a cherryburst/maple 55-02D. Hmm, just a thought now, would that make a good/better fretless choice?

Well, having been down this line of thought before, I don't believe you can get an unlined Skyline fretless neck, only lined. I'm sure others will chime in here as well.

well....unlined may be "the issue"...
I converted my Sky JOBO5er to a fretless a couple of years ago...it was made in Korea but now has an indo neck (very NICE BTW!)
it is lined.....they do not make unlied SKYline fretless necks BUT they are real ebony and sound awesome!
I would email [email protected] to see if he has any fretless necks around...deal with the lines....
OR you can email: [email protected] and see if he can build you one...I can tell you that it would probably be 3-4x the cost as a lined fretless neck though...
I would say...live with the lines....or "permanent marker" them out....
the 55-02 would be a KILLER fretless as well...I had a 44-02D fretless that I repalced with a 55-94 fretless...lvoe the sound!
