Can I rejoin the club? I used to own a skyline ds hb, which I had to sell to pay some bills a while back. I'm stoked to now be back in the Lakland fold with this guy...

So so so so so happy with the tone... The bass balances better than any I've ever owned, at the local shop gave me a great deal. They local guitar shop just became a Lakland dealer, and I was there the day the sales rep gave this to the shop owner... It's been in my hands ever since.

Oh hey, just a q to make this post seem less pointless. Has anyone had much luck with DR strings on 94's? I usually string up Hi beams, or sunnies depending how bright I want to sound, but I was thinking black beauties would be pretty sweet looking on a tobacco/rose 94.. anyone else tried this?

I use DR Marcus Miller Fat Beams on my 55-01 (it's modded). The feel is excellent on the Lakland 5 string scale, even strung through the bridge. As for tone, they're great. I had a set waiting to go on my 55-02, but I snuck on a set of Fodera nickels, and fell in love with them for that instrument. So, that set of DR MMs will get put on my DJ 5 when it arrives in April.

The wait will be over soon. A 3TB/Rosewood US Lakie...yummy.
