Maybe a Decade? I think that would take VERY nicely to Ferrari Red.

True, Ya know there were two skyline decades that sold on here not long ago that would have been perfect.
One had TRIPLE chi sonics in it.
The other one was dual chi singles but it was Active and had the fixins that the 44-94 has for the active set up.

Either of those would have been a good Decade to invest in the refin with.

That triple Chi would have looked insane Ferrari Red and matching red HS.
ddddddaaaayummm ( sorry for stuttering )

yea I think I am going for this ....But not that one that was glued up. Will pay the little extra for a minty as new one. ( private seller ) It is worth it.
Will update when this happens :D

I'd molest one w/ a 2nd pickup.... I know this from experience, and that might just be a sin... not sure. So, I'll resist GASing for a DPLEII at this time :).

That minty one also has a veneer that was glued on. This one just had it happen a second time.

My wife did the certs for the DPLE I and I think they used the same ones for the second series so technically I have certs for these BUT none of them are signed of course.

I hear ya...two ARE better than one. But finding the 2nd one is the hard part.
Best to leave it alone and call it a day I think.
My Stealth ( Barts old BB's ) looks to be sold.
So that free's up the $...
Now to work this DPLEII deal and get her done as that guy says.
:eyebrow:

Yeah RIGHT?
Might be better to take the one that is $200 less and at least has fresh glue on it??? LOL
I still am leaning towards the private sale one...it is the original owner who bought it new from Steve Barr when they were first ordered through the DP.

Who's Agitatin' My Dots?!!!

There have been several nice Lakland basses passed around recently.

At some point, I ended up with three (3) Uber-Nice Laklands all of which seem to have lost their Dots! Two of which have lost their frets and two have the ChiSonic pups...

In addition to the Lakland Trio and special thanks to holdsg (Gary), I now have upgraded my GB NeoX Cabs to this GB UBER Series Stack with his 1288T-UQ and I also locally landed a 212T-UB - nice sonic move too! It's as smooth at velvet...

NOICE triplets Gordon!! And GB rig as well!! :bassist:

Swanky! Sorry, just always wanted to use that word. :hiding:

All this talk of DarkStars got me thinking, weren't these based on the old Hagstrom bass pickups? Just curious as having never played a bass with DarkStars I was wondering what they sounded like. I had a 196? eight string many moons ago.

the Hagstrom pup the Darkstars are based on ,the Bisonic, looks just like a Darkstar. The most I've seen were actually in Guild Starfire basses

Finally got my hands on a DJ .... It joins my DD. MIK, 2006, seller said it had been Plek'd at Lakland, came with an Audere Z3 preamplifier with 3 band EQ.
Great playing and feeling bass, perfect balance. I generally prefer passive basses, but this is the best preamplifier I have experience with and it is opening my eyes and ears.

It's very gratifying to help a brother out, and you helped me out big time with the Streamliner. 4 hour gig last night and the streamliner thru the AE212 was just kicking' it all night. and I'm loving taking the neox to practice, easy in and out and full tone.

That 07 of yours is kinda hiding in that pic...that one demands to be out front...LOL. That is the inspiration fr my new custom build and Pat will be doing the finish on that one as well.

Now you just need a band with that rig of yours, you need to play out, right now!
