Nice score. Don't know if I am in the minority but I was much more fond of the time period when the pickups were chosen by the artist and weren't the Lakland branded pickups. Now that it has the same pickups as the 44-60 it just seems like nothing more than a slightly different body shape.

Hey Lakland brethren. Has anyone else out there used an Aguilar Tone Hammer in conjunction with their Lakies much? I just got one and am experimenting with it, but wanted to see if anyone had suggestions on 'sweet spot' settings they liked with it. I'm mainly using it with my -01 series basses and my 44-02 Deluxe. So far I've been favoring a nice low-mid bump with the -01's, but haven't settled on anything fully yet.

True about the DS. I like the look of the pickup, but the sound is no more pleasing to my ears than the other single coil P pups I've tried. Still think the noiseless Fralin '51 was my favorite.

Sorry.... that was misleading. I should've said that I'd strongly desire to route it for a 2nd pickup.... like I have w/ the single DS lakies I've had in the past. Never did it and eventually sold them. :-/

I'm not a big fan of the DJ series (the looks aren't my thing) but this looks great!

Yep, stealth, who knew. Now the thing is to find one at a good price as it's going to take a few ducats to get it refinished, routed and add all the electronics. Probably will go the Skyline route as I like to be hands-on with most of the modifications and don't want to just "order" one that way.

Hey Congrats, I know you hated to do it :D but if it wasn't getting that much play time with all the new Laklands, it's best that it was rolled to make room for more.... wait for it.... Laklands!

Hi Lakland experts, I have decided to buy a Darril Jones 4 strings, and I would like to know besides the looks of the Us made vs Skyline, what other upgrades do you get from the Us series. What I want to understand is if it is really worthy to spend that whole lot of money. I like the Natural model (Adam Clayton had one) if I have the Skyline I will go for the metal grey gun.

Fortunately I could sell a few things to buy any of them.

I am an amateur, but learning and preparing fast for playing at a bar mainly rock, grunge, alternative and Latin.

So what should You recommend me to do? is a Skyline more recommendable than a Fender American Deluxe Jazz?
