Did you guys notice that Chef sold the Markus Orange Lakkie p5 proto on the classifieds?

I very badly want to own that bass one day. It is, bar none, my favourite Lakland ever.

I remember it's birthday pics.... had a tort piece covering the control cavity, was natural colored (maybe it wasn't painted yet). I loved how different it looked. It was cool orange, but I preferred it's original look.

I don't know anyone like that...

Yeah, right! It's an addiction.

We all could use an intervention regarding the G.A.S. that we self induced and feel we have.

If it were up to my wife, she'd shut down the Classifieds section on these forums. Ha!

It seems all I am doing is shipping basses which is good for the carriers. Ha!

Not looking is a good start. I was looking at classifieds the day arter i got my 55-94. Not that im looking for a new bass or anything...:D

yep, just closing my eyes to it. lol
Honestly I love the basses I have lately enough and do not want to sell any.
So since I am not laying out any more cash on gear, the only way I am getting anything is by selling to buy.
So I MIGHT be after this one off NAMM 2012 bass...after that I highly doubt I will want much of anything else for some time.
Other than maybe a PT band to play with? :) :bassist:

i'm still bummin' that i missed out on that inca silver 5501 that nautipaul sold and baught back and now is reselling again, i sprung for a Gibby thunderbird 5 and was drained of all funds, my original idea was to add another 5501 because i LOVE mine, and that inca silver would have made a great match too my Scheff! BUT NOOOOO!!! sold to too soon. i didnt totally lose though i been wanting a thunderbird 5 for a long long time, still bummed though!

I'll have it in my grubby little hands next week:bassist:. I have been consumed with lakie GAS recently, especially for the 55-94. If the Orange Wonder doesn't do it for me I'll be looking to swap her for a light 55-94. Will post again next week.....

Great score, dude! I played that bass when the original owner had it--really sweet. If I played fives, I'd want that one badly.

What kills me about that sale is that, thanks to the rollercoaster nature of foreign exchange, your pretty new US Lakland is under a C-spot more than I spent on my 5502, once you work in the taxes and Lakland gig bag I bought with the Skyline.

LOL! I'm sure.:D

When Randy bought it, the body was unfinished. I think it even had a little writing in pencil on it.:D I love the orange finish, I've seen it in person.
HAHAHAH boy that sure is true..The classifieds here is what started my GAS woes...
I have been focused lately on what I am planning on doing. And actually have not looked at the classifieds in a few weeks. :D
I am highly skeptical of this claim.:D

With the collection you have in your profile, I would like to think contentment is a possibility. ;) Me... I'm feeling a bit of gas coming on due to your avatar. :o:D

Yep, agreed.
Contentment is there I think.
Been trying this and that for some time.
But think this is a good group. :bassist:
One more swamp out maybe in the works??

Thanks the Avi pic is the most recent replacement...Killer bass!
But cannot talk much about it here...heheheh :D

oh Greg Greg Greg....
Have faith my friend. :D
LOL

Seriously, I think I am starting to just be content finally. :hiding:
This might contain the amount of salt I'm taking that with.:p
