*This factory is just down the street from the Lakin & Sons building where Lakland was previously housed.

I've been to that Morton Salt warehouse! Way back in my truck driving days, I used to haul out of there. Wackadoo dock on the back side - there's water on the other side of the fence.

My Burgundy Mist 44-94 is very close!

I hope I'm not posting in the wrong place, but I'm beside myself with glee over the purchase of my very first Lakland. Here: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f126/us-lakland-glaub-4-a-881219/. Wanted one for so long... a few close calls. Finally happened.

I have a question about the pickguard. The white perloid on there now is ok, but I think black might look even better. Do you think it's difficult to find a p/g for this old a Bob Glaub (2002)? Any advice on where to look?

Thanks!

Search Ebay for Jeanie's Pickguards.

+1 on the recommendation for Jeannies. Roger will hook you up for that BG.
And congrats Soxhats, and welcome officially, now you need to PM Basspraiser for your number, and make sure and stop by the LOG site.
