Thanks, The birdseye on this one is tremendous. I have never played a US JO, so I would probably not know the difference, but when I talked to Brian at Lakland about it he made a big deal about it being "an old one." Its just funny for me to think about something from 2000 as "old," Haha.

NEW NECK. Truss tweaks won't fix this. Unfortunately this happens with skylines sometimes. It's happened to me and is not as uncommon as it should be. Get a new neck bro.

I'd like to officially invite a welcome for me back into Laklandia.

I will be modding these.

The DJ will get a paint job(ice Blue),fralins and a redeamer circuit,the lolli tuners off the Glaub.

The Glaub/ Fralins and the clovers off the DJ.

you sure you want to redo the candy orange? that is a unique and cool color...although Ice blue is hot as well!

Keeping the Glaub white I hope....

It is already a refin, it was originally oly white. It's just not me. I want some thing that could be a fender color..... That's also the reason for the switch of the tuners. Blocks/binding = Lolli tuners.

Ha! Doesn't that figure. I just sent him an email earlier this afternoon with those two pictures to try and get his professional opinion. Just my luck! Should have tried yesterday... Is there a specific email address I should use for Lakland? I tried calling earlier but kept getting the voicemail. On the website, there are two email contacts listed: Brian and Leo.

Is that a Skyline or US DJ? If Skyline, and not married to it, you might do well selling or trading to someone interested in that finish and refinishing a stock color. Would love a unique color DJ like that!

I was just saying, that if you want vintage, no better route to go than Fralin. Sounds like you got that covered. The stock Hanson/Laklands are more along the lines of Fralin. If you want modern, the Chis are one way to go, but they are voiced more agressive along the lines of the Nordy/Sadowskys. Then there is EMGs if you really want to get crazy modern.

Yeah, I'll have to figure it out. Love the nordys, but not really what I was going for with the JO. I was under the impression that the chisonics were like the old hagstroms or darkstars... Am I wrong?
