Yeah, I'll have to figure it out. Love the nordys, but not really what I was going for with the JO. I was under the impression that the chisonics were like the old hagstroms or darkstars... Am I wrong?

Maybe the Alnico chis, that are recently introduced. I haven't tried those yet. The neo chis are bright and knarly, not much meat. but different than dark stars. To my ears, dark stars are ideal P pickup, lots of meat plus a little sizzle on top. But I probably would not like a dual-Darkstar jazz like a Decade or Hobo. Just me talkin pickups, if any otters want o chime in on their experience...

Doing some Spring Cleaning and thought I'd snap a pic of the crew.

I would love to hear 'OTTERS' position on this... :D. Thanks for the heads up. I guess I will have to give it some more thought. WHo knows, maybe I just don't need another "vintage jazz..."

Go right to the top!

If JP is in town he will get back to you fast....he can also make any decision that has to be made.....quick!

Good luck

Well, you were spot-on man! I emailed John Pirruccello and attached the same two pictures that I posted earlier. He immediately got back to me saying, " Oh yeah that's twisted alright. Send it in, I'll cover true new neck if you can just get it here." Gave me a return authorization number as well. You guys were absolutely right! Lakland customer service is second to none. I knew I made the right choice when I decided to convert to Lakland basses. They've got a customer for life over here. Thank you very much to everyone that helped me along in this little adventure. I'll be sure to let you all know how it ends up!

I have not played a Jazz with Chis. But my Decade with Chis has plenty of meat. I wouldn't characterize it as bright. But they are hot pick ups and yes can be gnarly if that's what you want. It's mahogany so that probably has a bit to do with it not being bright.

I listened to the soundclips online and they sounded very versatile. I got a set of the J bass direct replacements which are new for Hanson. If I don't like them, I won't have to alter the bass... SO at least thats good.

I suspected this would happen. Those guys are all about customer service.

Will be listing that mint as brand new Buckeye Burl Deluxe 44-94 with BEM fretboard in a day or two officially. ( As new creme lakland case inc. )
Not one you will find listed for sale anywhere.
They SELL for $4,200 retail actual selling price. ( NOT "List" )
Thinking I will take a grand bath.
But have way more basses than brains...
And need a pricey zoom lens for my business...so off it goes.
If anyone wants first stab at it before I list it send me a message...

Wishing everyone a great Easter Holiday weekend! :)

Really? Of all the basses you choose to sell THAT one...get your mental health checked.

Also, if you know of a cheap 70-300mm for a Nikon D5100, let me know.;)

Naw no biggie...I have 9 basses and never touch them lately...I want the nikkor 70-200 2.8 EDIF VRII lens...that I will use all the time. runs like $2,400.00 so basses must get listed and sold....Selling two others also. Will prob grab the new D800 body and grip for under it too.
Want to thin the count down to 5-6.

Just no need for all this stuff sitting in cases taking up space.

I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass..I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass..I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass..I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass..I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass...Dan should give it to me for my birthday..I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass..I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass..I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass..I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass...I don't need another bass...
