Got a 44-64 custom ( Duck Dunn ) in mint mint mint condition from a TB member here last week. This is an awesome Bass !!! I never thought I would love a P Bass, but now it is simply a great addition to my arsenal !!!

I never thought I'd love a P before getting my P5, but the pig just keeps creeping into the rotation.

My daughter likes it, too.

She's taken to my 55-02 as well, though to a slightly lesser extent. But she hasn't gone near the Sadowsky. I'm thinking its because that one doesn't have a coloured finish.

Little kids learn early on that coffee tables are their enemies.

I kid, J, I kid.:D

I have a few 5594 questions and I wondered if anyone knew:

-Where is the MM pu placed? Is it in MM position? Front coil like a 60's jazz? Back like 70's? I know it's something along those lines.

-Are the new Hanson's the same exact size as the Barts?

-I know the original Barts were smaller and then "regular" size was used for a long time until the Hansons--when were those changes made?

Thanks for the info.

Tim....I measured my 55-76 (MM in the "true" MM position) and my CB550 (5594 customized by Carl Pedigo).

the bottom edge of the pickup on the 55-76 is 1.75" away from the bridge and the bottom edge of the pickup on the 55-94 is 1.50" away from the bridge.

so no...they are different.

The Hansons are in the exact same spot as the "big Barts".

others will have to speak on when the Barts changed...the Hanson/LH3 came about in 2007.

Thanks. I think one of the coils is lined up like a jazz--maybe the back in 60's position? It's something like that.
