Wow, that is hot! I love the look.Number Please?
FIRST Lakland.
You're right about the date--I think it was late '07/ early '08. You can tell the difference by looking at the pickup wires, I believe, but I always forget the details. Someone smarter than me will surely chime in.I apologize if this had been covered in-depth in previous posts but I have a question about the pickups in the Glaub I recently purchased. It is my understanding that Lakland switched from Fralins to Lakland pickups in the Glaub around 2008..? The serial number on mine is BG 393, which according to their serial number list would put me with a build date of 2008. Is there a way to know for sure, short of pulling the pickup, as to which it is? I admit that I am not the best at identifying pickup brands, unless its fairly obvious.
Nice bass. I just bought the same one last week, except for mine has black pickup covers and black knobs. I've never seen one with cream colored pickup covers.

Thanks. I think one of the coils is lined up like a jazz--maybe the back in 60's position? It's something like that.
I thought that was right. The PU was moved towards the bridge to align the back coil in 60's position. Compromising the MM mode. 70's position would only compromise more.
That sounds right to me. So if the blend is in the middle and the switch is towards the bridge it's "60's jazz bass".
I said I was kidding! I like some of those myself.

Number Please?
