Wow, I'm with Markus on this one. I've always read that the Quarter Pounder P pickup is bright, this just confirms it for me--cause the neo Hanson P has some pretty aggressive upper mids to my ear, and according to many others.
But if it works for ya, that's all that matters.![]()
Bright really isn't the word. It's more present and has more balls. It's not a scooped sound either as many people describe. I think that it's nice and balanced.
The Neo's are nice and aggressive, don't get me wrong. The QP's are like a more present version of the neo's with more clarity. If I can figure out how to get the files out of Sequel into MP3, I'll post them. The recordings are bass only, no amp, no pre, no effects. It's a dramatic difference.
I play alot of ZZ Top and Robin Trower, so I like a bit more ballsy sound.
