Lee's DPLEII went to Spain.

Peabody got his current DPLEII from ebay in July. (So he and I both had a DPLEII and a white US Duck Dunn concurrently. Yay, trivia.) Was "ours" his old one? It seemingly was Gary's at some point.

Unless, of course, we're collectively misidentifying multiple specimens of the DPLEII as the same one.

The known history of my DPLEII:

Bought by original owner and probably hidden in the closet after it was played .. once .. then, sold to Dan (Mrfstop) ((Where ya been, man?!) who later traded it to a music store for something he had been GASsing for. They put it on eBay. I snagged it. When I got it, it was in PERFECT shape. And now, it's in Spain!

All I know is the one I had (from Feb 2011 to Sep 2012) was the one with the chip at the end of the headstock (came that way to me). I bought it from bolombo, and sold it to Tugboat. I think there are really only 2 of these that have been making the rounds on TB over the past 3 years.

I'm down to 3 basses total. A road worn precision with a J neck and a Duncan PU. Its actually a amazing, light bass. My upright. and the lakland DJ!

Bought one here in '06, sold it in '08, bought the same bass back in '09 and sold it to the same guy in'10. Great bass, haven't seen it in circulation lately.

I have "too many"....8 Laklands, 2 Carlos, 1 MK Dragonfly and 1 Turner REN 5.....and a partridge in a pair tree (NO! It is not "too early" for Christmas songs!!!! My daughter is now practicing some for the Christmas Concert.....OK...maybe a "bit early".... )

ahem....sorry...just got a bit carried away...as much as I like White DJs....that does sound cool...especially with the pearl clearcoat....have him do the "blue pearloid"...I have that on White Lightning....really nice...
