That's pretty cool looking! Too many strings.
Speaking of too many strings, the Carl Pedigo custom 3 string actually may become a reality. :D

After realizing that I’m not a 5 string kinda guy & selling the 55-76 to Doug, I set out in search of the 4 string version of this elusive beast.
That search is over, it took over a year & a half, but I finally found a 1998 4-76. With a little help from Marty Bell, I got the Music Man killer of my dreams. :D
The original Bart pickup got swapped out for a Nordstrand MM 4.2, but it does have the original Bartolini NTMB-L preamp & the combo just kills!
These early Birdseye maple boards are a real visual treat & the necks are to die for. Here’s a couple pics for all y’all…

Glossy!

Back to the LOG bass thing...

I'm less picky about the LOG bass being EXACTLY what I want...and more into the idea of getting another danged LOG bass rolling. Sheesh! I would (almost) guarantee that I'd throw down on anything we could come up with, so long as (time to get picky-ish) it was a classic shape... P or J...

Back to the LOG bass thing since it slipped ~2 pages!

I'd very likely be in (unless it's a 5-string...)

I like the idea thrown out earlier in the thread - green (I'd suggest "surf" as opposed to "seafoam") with black blocked maple neck (without binding :D )

Or... How 'bout a JO in Markus Orange with Chi-Sonics. :ninja: Maybe something more than a little like this:

Brandon's timing was impeccable. (I hope his drummer appreciates his sense of time!) He was always interested in getting the Dude back, and he caught me in the middle of NND (New Neck Day) happiness and we quickly arranged for, in the words of Bono, a sort of homecoming! The Dude should be shipping tonight!

Very nice!

Happened quickly. ..and now your wife should be much happier that you are down to one bass per color!

Absolutely killer Matt!

That finish looks awesome!

Major congrats!

I would love to see that...

I can only comment on Me to Dan to Me, I think peabody was in on this, and maybe lpcarter too

Lee's DPLEII went to Spain.

Peabody got his current DPLEII from ebay in July. (So he and I both had a DPLEII and a white US Duck Dunn concurrently. Yay, trivia.) Was "ours" his old one? It seemingly was Gary's at some point.

Unless, of course, we're collectively misidentifying multiple specimens of the DPLEII as the same one.

Beautiful bass! I bet that quest was long and arduous!

Hey folks,

I've got a line on a 44-02 for $900. However, I've only ever played a 44 94 once (which I loved), and I may not be able to check this out before I get it. What do you think? Good idea?

Is it a 44-02 or 44-02D? The "D" is a deluxe quilt top. $900 seems steep unless that's shipped with a case. I have seen, and sold, 44-02D's in great condition with case for $750-825. Ultimately, if you feel its worth $900 then go for it.
