Greetings fellow loggers. My first post. Just got a 55-02 about two months ago. I was restringing with flatwound chromes and had trouble getting the B string through the hole when I was stringing through body. It would get caught where the blue winding meets the string and would not go through. It also got caught where the blue windings were just before the end of the string. It took a lot of work to get it through and I was eventually able to do it. The blue windings were roughed up a bit
My question is whether anyone else had this problem with stringing the B string on a 54-02. Could it just be the string brand? Aldo want to know if the roughing up of the windings is going to cause me trouble. Thanks.

Haven't posted this for awhile... so I thought I would again.

You're reading too fast my friend![]()
I was suggested to contact Leo in regards to pickguards. The guys at Lakland were able to put this together for $30 plus shipping. I've used double-sided tape to keep this on hence the absence of screw-holes. Quite pleased with it, actually.

You kids get off my lawn with that smart-phone posting!*shakes fist*Call it whatever you want....easier to post and ask forgiveness later when you are on a smart phone ...
BTW....in your home state....spending a few days in Melbourne Florida!
Wish I were home to watch the Packers spank the bears with a few misguided friends ( bears fans) but guess I get to enjoy it alone

Ah, Melbourne. I sure hope there's a lot more going on than the last time I was there.
That is going to be a spanking and a half tonight, no doubt about it.

If only I'd had the foresight to know Aaron Rodgers would miss maybe the second game in his career since he became the starter. Can one of you define "spank" as it relates to last nights game?

I'm quite happy the Bears won once BOTH teams were forced to use backup QBs. Doug, not so much.![]()
