I've had a serious itch to go back to playing fretless lately, and been eyeing a Skyline JO fretless in the classifieds. Hopefully I can be satisfied with my Sterling and avoid Lakland GAS!
Can one of you define "spank" as it relates to last nights game?
You kids get off my lawn with that smart-phone posting!*shakes fist*
Ah, Melbourne. I sure hope there's a lot more going on than the last time I was there.
That is going to be a spanking and a half tonight, no doubt about it.
You think he's still sulking?
Lakland's rosewood is so dark it looks good on everything.
Carl just let me know he's done with some minor repairs on my EBMM Sterling fretless. I've had a serious itch to go back to playing fretless lately, and been eyeing a Skyline JO fretless in the classifieds. Hopefully I can be satisfied with my Sterling and avoid Lakland GAS!
That's like trying to fight back a Doude wave
I am not s happy camper today by any stretch of the imagination!
...and no telling when Rodgers will be back!
I have to give McCowen credit where credit is due....
Wish I could drown my sorrows by playing my lakies! But Alas ..not home until tomorrow
I wonder if he had to do the Discount Daaaaaaable Check in the locker room...
Funnier still is that State Farm is doing Da Bears, and Rogers got hurt whilst playing Da Bears...

"Daaaaa Bears gave me a reason to use daaaa discount daaaaable check"
dude, if you're talking about the one that I used to own (I commented on the FS thread--3TS, upgrades)
...seriously GET IT. I LOVE the pups in that thing! Everything sounded phenomenal, super easy to tweak sounds, and noiseless. Rolling off neck or bridge was super dynamic which is not usually the case IMO with passive pickups. By that, I mean with passive...you can go a little and then you may as well go all the way. I felt like there was much more room to dial in sounds with those pups, and again...noiseless...
plus it just looks damn good with the usa lollipops and bell guard on. And the nut was upgraded to bone. If you don't get it, I will![]()
Carl said that my neck should be finished this week, can't wait too get my fretless back. He is really such a nice guy, easy to talk to. The coated ebony should match the gloss black body now, should look really cool. Ill have some pics up when I put everything back together.
Peace
Dave

Ok...funny.....but....enough
rodgers and I are in enough pain...![]()
Enabler! (I think 3Leaf should pay LOG royalties)
He's from Milwaukee (I think). Then he decided to move to the far NW burbs to be even further away from Chicago.I'm afraid to ask, but how did you end up a cheesehead?
Just got my fretless EBMM Sterling back from Carl after he worked his bass doctor magic. It had a couple deep scratches in the fingerboard that were not wear from rounds (I never could figure out what the cause was, it was like this when I got it.)

I don't have an "After" pic, but ... Holy crap, he did such a great job that I can't even find where the scratches were!
Another pic for those who don't mind non-Lakland:
