Thanks! Get in touch with Leo. He'll get you fixed up.Thanks looks great! Looking for more of a brown tort so I'm still shopping.
Question, was that the original electronics that came with the top one or was it after market?
Edit: Nice basses, BTW!!

Yes that usa JO is real nice...I have a black pearloid on my ash body and was thinking about going to a tort.....but I love j retro pre and hifi pickups...I just think that if you want a passive sound why not get an older fender or something...passive just doesnt give as many tonal possibilities. ...everyone rips out nice preamps!
Now I just need join up with a band and I can actually let this thing rip! Sadly no time![]()

'Zactly !So here's a thought exercise I went through when I was playing around with on-board pre's and the like. A plethora of tonal possibilities in a bass sounds like its great, but how many of those tones do you use in a gig? I'm not knocking on board preamps or rolling pickups at all, just advocating for the beauty of simplicity.
Haven't posted in the LOG for awhile but there have been a couple of DJ threads surface today and then here was LOG #68 at the top of the stack so here I am.
Only had one gig this past weekend and my DJ5 got the call. I can't explain just how much I love this bass; definitely my favorite of any jazz I've ever had or played. I did add an Audre pre but it stays set flat just about all the time. Anywho, just thought I'd drop in and comment. I'll just leave this here...

I understand the all original thing....but it doesnt hurt to have options. ..it's all matter of taste...I play slap and I love j basses...but I wanted quality not a fender...so lakland it was...and I wanted a more modern sound than passive pup's. The j retro and delano Jmvc combo gives me very different j bass sound. ..which I think is a good thing...
